Food

Homeless Shelter Distribution: During the peak of covid, we gathered a group of volunteers from all ages to help distribute and serve food in a homeless shelter called, “Eva’s village,” in Paterson, New Jersey. We were thinking a lot about the children and families who were facing food insecurity during the peak of covid, in late 2020. We hoped to make some effort and satisfy the needs of at least a hundred people. We talked with some close friends who agreed to help and we collected a group of around 25 people, with parents and children. We made and collected food that would keep the people at the shelter with a full stomach for as long as possible, and once we got there we served each person and received many happy smiles from the elderely at the shelter.
